STEM in Place scholarship

With the dedicated work of Vice President Katia Krishtopa (Class of 2024 at The Pingry School), we are proud to announce the STEM in Place Scholarship to be launched in Spring of 2024! The amount is TBD, however given current initiatives, it is projected to be $1000-1500!

Eligibility Requirments

Spring / Summer 2024 Scholarship

- Student must be entering middle school (grades 6-8) or freshman year of high school (grade 9)

- Student must have taken at least one class with STEM in Place since Summer 2020

- Student must submit most recent school transcript (may be unofficial)

- Student must fill out ALL sections of the application including long answer question

- Student and parent must sign a contract stating that the money from the scholarship will be used for academic materials (textbooks, calculator, supplies, etc.)

- OPTIONAL: Student may self-report any 3 test scores (standardized testing, AMC 8/10, science olympiads)

Merit or Need Based?

Currently, the scholarship is merit-based. This merit-based scholarship will be awarded based on a student's academic merit, as well as special interests in STEM. We, at STEM in Place, understand that some students may not have opportunities that are available to others so we have included an 'additional information' section at the bottom of the form. Please include any information you would like us to know so that we can make the best decision possible (possible hindrances in academics, home life/family commitments, etc.). The review process of the application is holistic, meaning we will review your application as a whole (we will not just look for certain parts of the application).

Dates + Deadlines

PLEASE CHECK BACK IN FEBRUARY 2024!
